Leah Birchall
Adult Matters Coordinator
Leah Birchall joined the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo in July of 2021 and has been contracting with the Organization as the Toledo Buddy Walk Co-chair. In her new role as DSAGT's Adult Matters Coordinator, she will be the main support services provider for all of our families with children over the age of 12. She will oversee all of our programming for our teens and adults as well as help assist families in navigating services, whether it be during the transition age or as the individual with Down syndrome ages.
Between volunteer work and paid positions, Leah has been working with individuals with disabilities for almost 10 years. Although she has experience with many types of diagnosis, she has a passion for working with teens and young adults with Down Syndrome.
Leah is originally from the Toledo area. She received her associates degree in Psychology from Owens Community College and then furthered her education at Bowling Green State University, receiving her bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration Specialization with a double minor in Special Education and Psychology.
Alongside her work at DSAGT, she is also currently serving as an independent provider through the state of Ohio for individuals with disabilities.
